For this assignment I am doing the Loopy Whisk. The Loopy Whisk is a gluten-free blog that focuses on recipes without flour, gluten, wheat, einkorn, barley, and rye. They have savory and sweet recipes for whenever you are in the mood for savory or sweet. With gluten-free recipes you usually have to weigh out the emulsifier, flour, and thickener; however, the Loopy Whisk weighs out the proportions for you and gives you the measurements for free. 

The Loopy Whisk specializes in gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, and egg-free recipes. They specialize in allergen cooking, but for this post I am focusing on the gluten-free allergen aspect. On the website, recipes are organized by section, diet, dish, and back to basics. This makes it easy for recipe finders to look for a specific recipe. Convenience is the name of the game, and they are very convenient. 

There are recipes for breads, which are notoriously difficult recipes to follow due to the weights and measurements. With the Loopy Whisk, you get the measurements and weights for free. Most websites would charge for the measurements or ask you to put your email address in for the measurements; however, the Loopy Whisk provides those for free. You do have to weigh out the flour, emulsifier, and baking powder instead of measuring in cups, but that is with every gluten-free bread recipe. In the bread section, there is phyllo dough, cinnamon rolls, croissants, and everything in between- including bagels. Gluten-free bread recipes are hard to come by, and the measurements even more so. The Loopy Whisk takes all of the fuss out of the recipe, leaving you with the warm bread. 

If we scroll down, we see the author bio. The author of the blog, Kat, believes that allergen cooking doesn’t have to be awful. Allergen cooking is known to be fun-free, but with the Loopy Whisk you have ways to cook allergen-free while still enjoying your meal. Allergen-free cooking is difficult, but with the Loopy Whisk they make it easy. 

With allergen-free cooking comes high stress. There is the risk of cross-contamination with the utensils; the risk of having to redo the entire recipe because the proportions are off; and the general stress of the ingredients itself. The Loopy Whisk does all of the work for you in terms of proportions, weights, measurements, and instructions. I highly recommend this blog to anyone that is starting their allergen-free cooking journey.
